I'm a mom, EMT, student, and slightly insane. I am naturally disorganized, & am trying to stay off "Hoarders." I have clinical depression & anxiety. Reduce, re-use, & recycle is my way of life & I love to DIY! I tend to ramble & go off on tangents/rants, but most of the time I make sense... and sometimes I'm even entertaining.

Personality Type: INTJ

This is why I don't have a blog... I always forget to post :-P

Things have been going fairly well, just chuggin' along like usual. In the last month, I finished the spring semester, got an A in English - after the 4 1/2 hours it took to write my final essay in the testing center!!- and began summer semester. This semester, I am taking it easy & only taking one class. I have been feeling really burnt out the past 2 semesters, and have withdrawn from a few classes as a result. I feel like I'm not really working towards anything, just treading water, and it's a really frustrating feeling. I am a biology major, but I feel very "meh" towards that.
Soooo.... I am taking a career exploration & planning course this semester to see if I can figure it out. We are in week 2, and so far, we have mainly been evaluating ourselves for likes, abilities, interests, values, skills, etc. I took the Jung personality test at http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm , and found out that I am type INTJ, which stands for Introverted (67%), Intuitive (12 %), Thinking (38%), Judging (44%). I get my energy from internal sources (i.e., being alone), and I want people to make sense - Yea, I know... I haven't had much luck with that. Sometimes, I can really relate to Data, on Star Trek: The Next Generation - He is always trying to figure out human emotion through logic & deduction. I too am baffled, Data.
Only about 2% of the population is INTJ, and I am the only one in my class.

Famous INTJs!:
Stephen Hawking (Holy wow, this gives me hope!)
Marie Curie
Igor Sikorsky
Susan B. Anthony
Pernell Roberts (Adam Cartwright from "Bonanza")
Michelle Obama
Angela Lansbury
Thomas Jefferson (Awesome sauce!!)
Emily Bronte
Peter Jennings
Lance Armstrong
Richard Gere
Jane Austen
Donald Rumsfeld
Hillary Clinton (not sure how I feel about that one...)
Arnold Schwarzenegger (or this one...)
Dan Akroyd
Chevy Chase
C.S. Lewis
Rudy Giuliani
C. Everett Koop
Raymond Burr (Perry Mason!)

INTJ Presidents:
Chester A. Arthur
Calvin Coolidge
Thomas Jefferson
John F. Kennedy
James K. Polk
Woodrow Wilson

Fictional INTJs:
Cassius - Julius Caesar
Ensign Ro - Star Trek: The Next Generation (She is one of my favorite characters, even though she is a relatively minor one. I love/hate that she defected to the Maquis... *sigh*)
Professor Moriarty - Sherlock Holmes' nemesis
Mr. Darcy - Pride and Prejudice
Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter - Silence of the Lambs (well, that may explain why that's my favorite book...)

At first, I felt kinda alone, and weird, because the INTJ nickname is "The Mastermind". I was like, what am I, the Unibomber?? Jeez... But after looking at the list, I feel less weirded out about my personality type :)
